BLACK BELT GRADING AND COMPETITION NEWS

We’ve just had a big weekend for the club with lots happening. On Saturday Nia Baugh and Ayden Clark both travelled to Manchester to the UTA Dan grading. They have both been working very hard these months in preparation for it and I’m over the moon to announce that they both passed! They have both been promoted to 1st Poom Black Belt. Massive well done to them both, I couldn’t be more proud of how hard they’ve worked and how far they have come on there Taekwondo journey. Also it’s another milestone for the club as we have now produced 3 Black belts. Very well done again👏On Sunday we had James Reynolds competing at the vision/momentum open in wishaw. Due to various issues James waited from 8am to fight at 5:45pm so not ideal. He had a great match, some lovely points scored but in the end he missed out on the gold but came away with a silver. Bonus point from me, he winded his opponent and gave him a standing count… from a punch 💪. Very well done James.
Manus McColgan unfortunately had to pull out with an injury so hopefully he’ll get the next one.
Well done to all this weekend you’ve done yourselves and the club proud!❤️

GRADING SUCCESS

Congratulations to James Reynolds who had a successful grading at the weekend being promoted to 4th Kup Blue Belt. Keep up the good work.

GRADING SUCCESS

We had quite a large grading on Sunday, everyone who took their grading passed with some great remarks. We had 6 grading from our brand new California branch that opened late last year, a massive well done to our newest 9th Kup Yellow Tags April Haston, Elissa McGregor, Cron Mackay, Benjamin Freeman and Elysse Harley, also to our newest 7th Kup Green Tag Marcus Haston. All put in a great effort and did themselves and the club proud. We also had 3 grading from our Stirling Class who also did extremely well. Huge congratulations to Finn McKellar, Mia Brae and Amy Spears, you all did fantastic. Now let’s train hard for the next one 💪
